(Cleveland)– The Warriors were back in action and victorious Friday night hosting Habersham Central in their first home game of the season.

The Raiders won the coin toss but White County’s Vondre Nelson put the first points on the board just over six minutes into play.

The Warriors would remain at seven through the first and second quarters, and Habersham Central would gain a field goal with a little help from an inattentive clock operator, ending the first half 7 to 3 Warriors.

The second half looked more like the Warriors we know, with an opening drive score from Tripp Nix to Cam Wilson.

The Raiders answered back with another three-point field goal, and another six points from Isaiah Whitlow closed out the third quarter.

The first play of the fourth quarter was a 69-yard touchdown run by Ryan Fowler, as called by Drew Harris and Garrett Rowland.

Fowler would score again four minutes later. This would bring the final score of the game to White County 34, Habersham Central 6.

The Captain D’s players of the game were Jon Scott and Ryan Fowler.

Next week’s game will be a non-region contest when the Warriors hit the road to take on Chestatee. Catch all the action here on WRWH 93.9fm.
