AIKEN, S.C. – USC Aiken’s Ty’lik Evans tied a school record, hitting 11 threes as the No. 4 Pacers defeated the University of North Georgia men’s basketball team Saturday afternoon, 92-75.

The Nighthawks kept the game close throughout the first half with the game being tied at 23 apiece with just under seven minutes to play in the period. From there, the Pacers stretched out their lead to 10 by halftime and started the second half on a 13-2 run to earn the win.

NOTES
– Zez Steeple led UNG in scoring, tallying 24 points in the game. Ephraim Tshimanga and Shawn Hopkins each had 12, while Tyler Dean gave the Nighthawks 11 points off the bench.

– USCA’s Evans had a career high 38 points in 40 minutes of play.

– The Pacers shot 46 percent from the floor while holding UNG to just 38 percent.
