Mr. Lawrence Howard Pruitt, age 88, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 31, 2016 in the Village of East
Harbor Senior Care Community following an extended illness.
Mr. Pruitt was born on October 7, 1927 in Suches, GA, the son of the late William Pruitt and Elizabeth
(Abercrombie) Pruitt. Lawrence was open and kind with everyone, he enjoyed 4-wheeling through the
mountain woods and fishing in the (Florida) ocean. He was a member of the Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents "Mack" and "Lizzy," three brothers William ("Junior"), Stanford
and Samuel and also one sister Grovie Ingram.
Surviving Mr. Pruitt are his two sons; Terry of Royal Oak, MI, Kevin and daughter-in- law Nancy of
Chesterfield, MI, daughter Renee Barrett and son-in- law John of Moorpark, CA; two sisters and brothers-in-
laws Bertha Mae and Sidney Stover of Suches, GA, Leila Ellen and Ervin Vandiver of Blueridge, GA;
grandchildren, Nicholas, Christopher, Alexandria and Melanie Pruitt, Zachary and Jacob Barrett.
The body will lie in state and the family will receive friends at the church from 1 until 2 PM on Saturday,
August 6, 2016 at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church in Suches, GA.
The funeral service will start at 2 PM on Saturday with Rev. Les Fuller officiating.
Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
