(Cleveland)- White County Health Department and Emergency Management Agency have announced that beginning next week they will utilize the county’s Emergency Notification System to call residents and deliver a message about COVID-19 vaccination. 

The message will say,  “COVID 19 VACCINE NOW AVAILABLE AT THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT, MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY, FOR EVERYONE OVER THE AGE OF 12 YEARS OLD.  APPOINTMENTS NOT REQUIRED.  CALL 706-219-7891 FOR MORE INFORMATION.”

White County Public Safety Director David Murphy said, “ We have established a call center within the EOC to answer these calls, staffed by the CERT program.  These members will have bullet points of information and request if the person or family has any idea of when they may come to the health department.”   

The call center will be open from 8 AM until 8 PM, on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and till 5 PM on Friday.  All after-hour calls will be forwarded to the EMA office for follow-up the next business day.
