Cleveland – The White County Sheriff’s Office has released the details on the department’s activities for the month of May 2021.

The arrest report during May for the Uniform Division included 7 arrests for DUI, 5 felonies, 12 traffic, and 19 misdemeanor arrests. There were 1,543 calls for service including 11 domestic calls and 131 school checks. Officers conducted 137 traffic stops with 39 accident reports and 40 traffic citations were issued.

For the month Investigators conducted 3 death investigations, 8 theft investigations 5 credit card or ID theft investigations, and 3 investigations for motor vehicle theft. 34 cases were opened, 12 were closed and 6 cases were cleared by arrest.  175 investigation interviews were conducted, with the dollar amount of thefts during May valued at $20,200 with $73,500 in theft recoveries.

Officers spent 103 hours for courtroom security with 3,103 persons screened at the courthouse.  They served 36 warrants and 72 subpoenas and conducted 1 eviction for the month of May.
