(Cleveland)- White County public schools students return to the classroom Thursday.  There has been a lot of work going on recently to get ready for the students, teachers and administrators have been working to prepare for the classroom activities.

Transportation is another area were  work and planning has been done.  White County School Transportation Director Pat Schofill said the public needs to be aware of a new middle and high school traffic pattern, “ we do have a different traffic pattern in the afternoon with our middle and high school routes.  We’re going to be picking up at the middle school first, then loading there, and then loading at the high school second.  Our buses  will be on the roads a little earlier, they’ll be on the routes about 3:20 as we get settled in a few weeks.”

As far as the buses  Schofill said they’re ready, “our buses are in good shape, we feel good about it.   Cut a couple of routes, with  two less buses on the road and we’re just gonna work and find out where the students are and if we have buses that are crowded we will work on that the first couple of weeks to kinda  level that off.”

We join school officials urging you to be aware of the extra traffic around the schools beginning Thursday,  use caution as you approach the schools and  watch out for the students waiting for the buses.
