(Cleveland) – White County Government hosted its annual Wellness Fair for employees and their spouses last week marking another successful event aimed at promoting employee health and well-being. A news release from the county said this event, which has been ongoing since 2012, displays the county’s commitment to supporting its 350+ employees in leading healthy lifestyles.

Funded in part by wellness funds received from Cigna, the Wellness Fair provides employees with valuable resources and opportunities to prioritize their health throughout the year. One of the highlights of the Wellness Fair was the availability of biometric screenings, which help fulfill wellness requirements for reduced payroll deductions on health insurance.

Participants in the screenings received immediate results and had the opportunity to discuss their results with a health coach. A total of 187 employees and their spouses participated in the event.

Krystal Talley, White County Human Resources Coordinator, emphasized the significance of the Wellness Fair in promoting early detection and management of health concerns. “The Wellness Fair helps the employees of White County realize health concerns, and many of those can be treated and managed when caught early,” Talley stated. “Over the years, we’ve seen several employees express gratitude for catching these issues early.”

White County Government extends its sincere thanks to all participants, vendors, and Farmhouse Coffee for bringing their coffee trailer. All vendors and participants contributed to making the event a success again this year.
