(Cleveland)- The majority of the COVID-19 deaths in northeast Georgia have occurred in Habersham, Hall, and Clarke counties that according to figures released by the Georgia Department of Public Health. 

The latest figures released just before noon today by the health department show the total number of cases in White County is 88 and the Department of Public Health says the number of deaths related to the virus is one, that is a change from two deaths that were reported late last week. 

Also, COVID-19 Stats released today by White County Public Safety Director David Murphy shows the number of people who were diagnosed with the virus and have since recovered has increased from 32 a week ago to 48 as of today.   

Other Northeast Georgia counties Hall County has 2,012 cases with 28 deaths, Habersham County has 386 cases with 16 deaths. Lumpkin County 76 confirmed cases with 1 death, Union 34 cases, one death, and Towns County 20 cases one death.
