GSP Road Check10-27-14(GAINESVILLE) – Troopers from Georgia State Patrol Troop B   joined forces with the Appalachian Drug Task Force this past weekend for numerous road checks in White and Towns Counties.  Sgt. 1st Class G.R. Harper, Post 6 commander for Georgia State Patrol said, the effort was to keep motorists traveling in the area safe.

Harper  in releasing information about the operation said they issues 80 citations, 30 warnings, arrested 18 for driving under the influence, three misdemeanor drug arrest, 2 felony drug arrests, five people were arrested for driving on a suspended license, five seatbelt violations were issued and one wanted person was taken into custody.
