Sports – The War Eagles may have been the first out of the gate last night in varsity football, but they would have trouble for the remainder of the game trying to make it to the end zone and the Warriors would bring home their second victory of the season.

Chestatee would use up over seven minutes of the first quarter to score first only to be answered a few minutes later by a 1-yard touchdown from Tripp Nix, and with 35 seconds left in the quarter, Isaiah Whitlow would pick up a fumble for a 33-yard return giving White County their second touchdown of the game.

Quarter 2 would see three more touchdowns from the Warriors, including a 44-yard touchdown pass from Tripp Nix to VonDre Nelson, bringing the score to 35 to 7 at the end of the first half.

A 95-yard kickoff return by Cam Wilson would begin the second half as called by Drew Harris and Garrett Rowland.

A 31-yard field goal by Hayden Vandergriff boosted the Warriors up three more points, ending the third.

The lone touchdown in the fourth by Noel Lammers brought the final score to 52 to 7, White County.

The Captain D’s players of the game were Isaiah Whitlow and Cam Wilson.

The Warriors are off next Friday but return on September 15th to take on Stephens County at home.
