(Cleveland)–– Charged up following the 6-5 comeback victory Tuesday night over Gilmer County, the White County Warrior Baseball team was looking to put another check in the win column, and with rain in the forecast for Friday the game was moved up to Wednesday.

Inning one would have the visiting Bobcats score a run on a stolen base, answered quickly with 2 runs by White County in the bottom of the first.

Inning two would be scoreless and a sacrifice fly in the third would give the Warriors one more run. A base hit in the 4th would give the Bobcats another run, but a bunt by the Warriors would load the bases, and White County would score on an error along with an RBI single, and a base hit double gave the Warriors four additional runs.

The Bobcats would attempt a rally in the top of the 5th adding 4 and bringing the score to 6-7, but determined to remain in the lead, the Warriors brought their own rally to put up 6 more runs.

The 6th inning left Gilmer scoreless, and three more runs for White County. Drew Harris called the action:

This would invoke the 10-run rule and the game would end early with a final score of 16 to 6, White County.

The final game of the series will be played Thursday evening in Ellijay. The Warriors need to win this away game to remain in playoff contention.

The next broadcast of the Warriors will be on Tuesday (4/18) as they begin a new series versus the Dawson County Tigers. The pregame show will begin at 5:45 pm with the first pitch at 5:55   on Local News Radio 93.9 FM, your Warrior Sports Station.
