(Jasper) – The White County Warrior Boys Basketball team saw their season come to an end last night in the first round of the regional playoffs.
The 6th seed boys traveled to Pickens County to take on the 3rd seed ranked Lumpkin County Indians in the first round. Tripp Nix came out shooting quickly putting White County in the lead with 2 three point shots and the Warriors up by 6. Lumpkin County responded quickly and pulled ahead by 11 points at the half.
Second half action belonged to Lumpkin County as the Warriors were not able to gain any momentum. At the final buzzer the score was 50-37 Lumpkin County. The Indians will continue up the play off ladder and the Warriors boys’ season came to an end.
The White County Lady Warriors will be on the air from Pickens County later today in their regional playoff against Lumpkin County. Pregame show 4:15pm, tip-off at 4:30 on Local News Radio, 93.9 FM.
