(Cleveland)- Election officials in White County report that some White County residents have received a letter and a pre-filled voter registration application in the mail  from the Voter Participation Center.  Chief Voter Registrar Lisa Manning said Thursday that her office has received calls from residents who received the letters and were concerned that they are no longer registered to vote.

Manning said, that is not the case, those letters are not from her office nor the Secretary of State.   She said if you are an active voter in White County you have not been removed from the voter list and you should ignore the letter.

Chris Harvey, Elections Director with the Secretary of States office advises that Voter Participation Center is a non- profit group that works to increase voter participation. He said, we have no indication that this organization has any malicious intent.
