FORT VALLEY, Ga. – Four Nighthawks finished in double figures as the University of North Georgia women’s basketball team ran past Fort Valley State, 71-51, Monday night at FVSU’s HPE Complex. North Georgia is now 6-1 after the completion of the non-conference schedule.
After the opening basket by the Wildcats, North Georgia went on a 16-6 run to take the lead for good. UNG stretched its lead to as many as 22 points before settling at the 20-point final margin. NOTES – Abbie Franklin pulled down a career-high nine rebounds off the bench to go with a career-high eight points. – The Nighthawks pulled down 21 offensive rebounds, nine more than Fort Valley State.
