MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Three Nighthawks placed in the top-10 as the University of North Georgia cross country team earned its fourth first-place finish of the season at the Georgia College Bobcat Invitational Friday evening at the GCSU Cross Country Course.

Brittany Truitt earned another top-three finish, running a 22:38 in the 6K race, which is the seventh-fastest 6K time in UNG history. Truitt now holds five of the top-10 times in the program’s history.

Makayla Ellis and Olivia Terwilliger also had top-10 finishes, placing seventh and eighth, respectively. Emma BrownJenna SanbornKenedi Rodney and Maria Coughlin placed 12th-15th in the race.

The Nighthawks will now focus their attention to the Peach Belt Conference Championship race on October 21 at Fort Benning in Columbus, Ga. The 6K race will start at 9 a.m.
