(JOHNSON CITY, Tenn.) – The Truett McConnell University women’s golf team competed in the East Tennessee Collegiate at the Johnson City Country Club hosted by Milligan College on Monday-Tuesday. The Lady Bears finished in sixth place, of nine teams, and defeated Appalachian Athletic Conference foes Union College (7th) and Montreat College (8th).
 
In fact, after trailing by two strokes to Union through round one, the Lady Bears shaved off four strokes to surpass the Bulldogs to take sixth.
 
Most notable, junior Kiley Blackburn led the team individually tied in 10th place overall. After carding an 82 through round one to sit in 30th, Blackburn improved to her career best of 73 through round two. Freshman Brooke Krieg followed tied for 17th with an 80 in both rounds while senior Teagan Lovingood finished day one in fifth place with a 74, but dropped to 20th after shooting an 87. Junior Faith Reddick rounded out the Lady Bears’ individual results with a 43rd place finish (89, 89).
