(Clayton)- The Rabun County Sheriff’s Office,  Clayton Police Department and Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office (ARDEO) executed search warrants simultaneously at two nearby residents in Clayton resulting in the arrest of three people.   In an email, Special Agent in Charge for the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office Mitchell Posey said they searched the residence of Robert Collins, at 329 Clayton Ave. and  Amanda Wall’s residence,160-A Stavemill Street,  in the city.  

According to Posey, a month long investigation revealed Collins and Wall were selling methamphetamine from their residences.  The two  were selling methamphetamine independent of each other.  A small about of methamphetamine and 15 grams of ephedrine were located at Collins’ residence.  A small amount of methamphetamine and numerous pharmaceutical pills were located at Wall’s residence.  

Last  November, Collins was arrested for selling methamphetamine after Rabun County authorities executed a search warrant at this same residence and found approximately ½ ounce of methamphetamine.  Collins and Wall were arrested and are being held at the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office.

Collins, who is  35 years old, was charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and possession of more than 9 grams of ephedrine.    Wall, age 30, was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of a schedule III and IV narcotic.

Posey said, a third

 person, 35-year old  Jackie Lee Beaty,   was arrested at Wall’s residence and charged with obstruction.
