(Gainesville )- An 18-year-old Hall County man lost his life after being shot late Thursday night outside of a gas station on U.S. 129/Cleveland Highway in north Hall County. 

The incident happened outside of the Texaco Station at the corner of 129 and Nopone Road around 10 p.m., according to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.  Bryan Ramirez, an employee of the business, died at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. 

Deputy Stephens Wilbanks said investigators believe Ramirez was hit by gunfire from a moving Ford F150 pickup truck.  Ramirez had been at a picnic table taking a break with a friend.  

Wilbanks wrote in a media release,  “Soon afterward, Hall County Sheriff’s Investigators were contacted by White County Sheriff’s Investigators, who informed them that they had been made aware of a Snapchat video of the shooting, and they were also familiar with the suspected shooter.” 

Investigators obtained search warrants and retrieved the suspected murder weapon  from the F-150, which was also located at the suspect’s home.

19 year-old Talon Lowery, of Sautee, was arrested  and booked him into the Hall County Jail, where he awaited first appearance. 

Authorities are working to determine if there was any relationship between the suspect and  victim, and they are also working to determine if anyone else was inside the suspect’s vehicle at the  time of the shooting.
