(CLEVELAND) – On Wednesday, the Truett McConnell University women’s soccer team extended their win streak to five after clinching a 3-0 win over Bryan College, inside the TMU Soccer/Lacrosse. The Lady Bears remain perfect in Appalachian Athletic Conference play with a record of 8-1, 5-0 AAC, while the Lions fell to a 1-4, 1-3 AAC.

Bryan was first to take action, with a shot on goal at the one-minute mark, but TMU retaliated with back to back shots from Eliska Dvorakova and Hannah Logue. The Lady Bears continued to take shots on offense, while Bryan stayed firm on defense. It wasn’t until the 33rd minute of the half that a ball from Dvorakova offered Brianna Hernandez the perfect opportunity to find the back of the net (1-0). TMU continued to take shots, but the score remained 1-0 at the half. 

The second half saw the Lady Bears gain speed, as they extended their lead to two in the 50th minute with a Dvorakova goal from an assist by Sydney League (2-0). The home team did not let up, as they secured the win with a Dvorakova goal in the 88th minute to make the final score 3-0. 

LEADERS

Dvorakova led the way with two goals, five shots and one assist, followed by Hernandez who had one goal and six shots.
