(ADAIRSVILLE, Ga.) – The No. 14 Truett McConnell University women’s golf team traveled to compete in the Eagles Fall Invite, where the Lady Bears closed out the fall season in style as they were crowned invite champions out of seven teams with a score of 940 through three rounds.

TMU proved an NAIA top competitor after besting invite runners-up No. 2 Dalton State (958), No. 8 University of the Cumberlands (961), No. 11 Loyola University (974) and No. 16 Cumberland University (1036).

“I cannot adequately express how proud I am of these young ladies for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to their golf games this season,” said Head Coach Steve Patton. “Our season themes have been unity and having fun. The entire team has bought into those principles and has displayed that daily. We are excited to get some much needed rest, and we cannot wait to get the spring season started.”

Madison Panter and Sylken November showed their grit on the course as they were individually crowned invite runners-up out of 39 golfers with a three round score of 232, individually earning spots at the top of the All-Tournament Team. Panter was seen shooting a 77, 80, 75, along with recording her first collegiate hole in one, while November was seen shooting a sharp 77, 76 and 79.

Audrey Grace Holder followed up with a fourth place finish after shooting an 85, 77, and recorded one of her career best rounds after shooting a 74 to earn her spot on the All-Tournament Team, respectfully. Jala Stamey was seen finishing in the top ten after shooting an 82, 79 and 80, while Nicoline Eide finished up with an 84, 89 and 85.
