(Clarkesville)- Northeast Georgia library officials have announced that a new bookmobile will soon be available for area residents. A news release says they plan a Grand Opening Celebration to display the bookmobile.

Newly appointed Bookmobile and Outreach Manager, Jenny Brooks, said, they will use the new bookmobile to break barriers to library access for underserved communities.

The Bookmobile represents a pivotal step in the library’s commitment to reaching distant regions and breaking barriers to public library access. By transporting an array of books, diverse programming, and invaluable resources beyond the confines of physical library locations, the Bookmobile is dedicated to eliminating obstacles that hinder access to library services.

Brooks said, “We’re passionate about fostering inclusivity and providing equitable access to the wealth of knowledge and experiences available through our libraries. The Bookmobile enables us to extend our reach and directly engage with those who might otherwise face challenges accessing our services.”

In line with this vision, Northeast Georgia Regional Libraries is actively seeking sponsors to join in supporting this noble cause. Sponsorship opportunities present a chance for businesses and community leaders to collaborate with the library in making a tangible difference by reaching and serving underserved populations.

Each affiliate within the Northeast Georgia Regional Library system is gearing up for a series of grand opening celebrations. Official Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cuttings will ceremoniously kick off the festivities at the following locations and times:
