(FARMVILLE, Va.) – The Piedmont men’s golf B Team wrapped up play at The Manor Invite on Sunday afternoon, finishing in fourth place out of the eight teams competing.

Cam Lucas led the Lions on Sunday with a 3-over 75 as Piedmont once again saw all five players in the team lineup shoot in the 70’s. Lucas improved by three strokes over his first round, The junior made two birdies on the day, both coming on par-5’s on the front nine. The solid round moved Lucas to a T-25th finish out of the 51 golfers competing.

After leading the team with a 1-over 73 in the first round, freshman Jacob DeJesus followed it up with a 4-over 76 with a pair of birdes but three double bogeys on his card. However, he still led the Lions with a T-14th finish on the individual leaderboard.

Three Lions had rounds with nothing worse than bogey on their card as Aaron Martin Del Campo came in with a 76 as Caleb Vancil delivered the final counting score with a 78 while Kayden White carded a non-counting 79.

As a team, the Lions carded a 305 team score on Sunday after a 303 in the first round.

Competing as individuals, Ryan Colwell and Jackson Wyrick each came in with 84’s.

Methodist’s B Team took home the team title by a whopping 32 strokes, finishing at 4-under par. First round leader Matthew Lyons from Longwood took the top spot on the individual leaderboard, firing rounds of 68 and 70 to win by two shots.

Up next, the Lions will see the varsity squad back in action this weekend, as they head to the Jekyll Island Invitational, which begins on Friday, March 22.
