Laura Marble Stephens, 61 went to be with the Lord at home on Thursday, October 14, 2021. She was the beloved wife of Fred Stephens for 39 years. Born May 6, 1960 in Sarasota, Florida. She was the daughter of Elwood and Myrna Marble.

Laura retired from education after dedicating 29 years to teaching. She taught in the Hall County, Bryan County, and Lee County Georgia school systems. Laura graduated from Riverview High School in Sarasota, Florida. After graduation, she attended Newberry College in Newberry, South Carolina and graduated in 1982 with a Bachelor of Arts in Education.

In addition to her husband, Fred, Laura is survived by one son, Chris Stephens and his wife Caroline, one daughter, Sara Stephens Adams and her husband Steven; two grandsons, Knox Adams and Graham Stephens; siblings, Jeff and Debbie Marble and Craig Marble and Cris; nephew, Luke Marble and niece, Jessie Marble, and many other relatives and friends. 

A service to celebrate Laura’s life will be held at 10am on Saturday, October 23rd at Concord Baptist Church in Clermont, GA with Reverend Jamie Smith and Reverend Steve King officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the fellowship hall to share memories.
