Mr. Joe (Joey) Vernon Barrett Jr., age 60, of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2022.
Mr. Barrett was born in Hall County to the late Joe Vernon Barrett Sr. and Betty Jean Crane Barrett. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Monica Hamilton and sister, Barbara Pittman. Mr. Barrett was an avid hunter, loved to be outside and was a loyal friend to many. He was the former owner of Dairy Queen in Cleveland, and Barrett Signs.
Survivors include wife, Lesa Barrett, Cleveland; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Chuck and Debbie Pruitt; nieces and nephews, Kristi and Greg Dorsey, Kenny Seabolt, Charlie and Alex Hamilton, Katie Hamilton, Tiffany Seabolt, Anna Beth and Adam Doss, Kyle and Amber Pruitt, Cherith Pruitt; 3 fur babies, Max, Heidi, and June Bug.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 P.M. Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Rev. Gary Heffner and Mr. Jeff Shelnut will officiate. Interment will follow in Gateway Memory Park.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 P.M. Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at the funeral home.
