(Cleveland)- Friday morning just after midnight Cleveland firefighters were dispatched to 210 Hope Drive, Laurel Lodge Assisted Living facility for a fire call.

Upon arrival Cleveland Fire Chief Ricky Pruitt said, the staff, Cleveland Police, and White County Sheriff deputies were helping residents to exit the building.

When they entered the building Pruitt said fire department personnel located a dryer that was on fire, with one sprinkler head working. The fire was quickly extinguished and the dryer was removed from the building. Ventilation fans were set up to remove smoke from the building.

After about 30 minutes Pruitt said residents were allowed to go back inside, except for the affected area.

Chief Pruitt said Cleveland Fire was assisted with the call by units from White County Fire Service.
