(Cleveland)- Police in Cleveland are asking the public to help them identify a suspect in a recent armed robbery case.

A release from the Cleveland Police Department Friday afternoon said the alleged incident happened Thursday night around 9:45 p.m. at a convenience store on Helen Highway near Cantrell Road on the north side of the city.

The store’s clerk told police that a male dressed in all black entered the store, told the clerk he had a gun, and demanded cash.

The clerk reportedly complied and the suspect left the store on foot. He was last seen walking south towards Helen Highway.

Police said the suspect’s race is unknown, but described him as being “dark-complected.” He is described as having a slender to medium build and was last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark shorts, dark leggings, black shoes, and light-colored gloves.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact Cleveland police investigators by calling 706-348-7078.
