MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – A hot shooting performance from Georgia College allowed the Bobcats to slide past the University of North Georgia men’s basketball team, 92-82, Saturday afternoon. GC shot over 50 percent in both halves to earn the win.

A back-and-forth game early turned into a shooting clinic put on by the Bobcats to stretch the lead out to as many as 24 well into the second half. Jack Howard hit nine of the next 14 points scored to help pull North Georgia back to a 14 point deficit in just two minutes of game time.

The lead went down into single digits in the final minute, but free throw shooting by the Bobcats helped them sustain the cushion and get the conference win.

NOTES
– Ephraim Tshimanga led the Nighthawks in the scoring column with 17 points on 6-for-7 shooting from the floor. The junior hit every shot from inside the three-point line. Howard finished with 14 points.
