redcross-logo(GAINESVILLE )- The American Red Cross in Gainesville has scheduled a series of blood drives across northeast Georgia this month in hopes of shoring up supplies before the Labor Day weekend.  Officials say they continue to have an urgent need for blood donors  of all blood types but O negative, B negative and A negative are especially needed.
Blood donations often decline during the summer months, particularly around summer holidays such as Labor Day.  Locally on  August 28th  from 12:30-6 p.m. there will be a community blood drive  at Cleveland First Baptist Church.
