(CLEVELAND) – The cause of death for former Gainesville Police Chief Brian Kelly has been released.
White County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Bob Ingram said the Georgia Bureau of Investigation State Crime Lab reported that autopsy results showed Kelly died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest.
Kelly was found dead on Tuesday, December 1 at a home in White County.
No further information on the case will be released, Ingram said.
