Severe Weather8-8-14(Cleveland)- The weather for Northeast Georgia is looking good for the weekend , but  we may have a few thunderstorms before then.   Don Strength, Weather Specialist with the White County Emergency Management Agency says, a cold front will move into North West Georgia around sunrise Friday and slowly move Southeast throughout the day.

According to Strength, it should move through White county sometime between 9:am and 1:PM. Isolated discreet Thunderstorms will form  ahead of the cold front and a line will form along the cold front. Therefore most areas could receive more than one round of storms. Strength said, “ the Instability is not all that impressive with this system in north Georgia simply because of the timing.

Later in the day and farther south we could see stronger storms. Having said that, we could see strong storms and even a few severe storms with damaging wind and hail. Tornado threat seems unlikely.

Saturday and Sunday should be beautiful across North Georgia says Strength .  Moisture will return to the area on Monday.
