William Thomas Lanham of Cleveland Georgia entered into eternal rest peacefully at home with his family on April 17, 2024.

Born October 15, 1937 in Rockmart Georgia to Thomas Lanham of Aragon Georgia and Elizabeth Hook of Wellsville Missouri. He spent his childhood in St. Augustine Florida.  He proudly served for 23 years in the United States Air Force retiring at the rank of Chief Master Sargent as Aeromedical Super Intendant of Tyndall Air Force Base Hospital.  He married Ruby Juanita Chambers on June 20 1970 and they were happily married for 53 years until his passing.  Throughout his life he remained involved in his community. He was as 32nd degree Scottish Rite Free Mason as well as a member of Yaarab Shiner. He loved to spend time outdoors camping, fishing, boating, and golfing. He and Juanita were members of several camping clubs and also enjoyed square dancing. Both he and Juanita were longstanding members of Mossy Creek United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his loving wife Ruby Juanita Lanham. Granddaughters Gretchen Engel and Jillian Payne.  Grandson-in-law Bryan Engel. Great grandsons Samuel and Ethan Nooner.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 10:00 am at the Mossy Creek United Methodist Church with military honors and Masonic Rites.
