William “Junior”Nelms, age 71 of Cleveland, passed away Friday, September 29, 2017.
Mr. Nelmswas born February 14, 1946 in Towns County to the late William Nelms Sr. andEvy Mae Benfield Nelms. Junior was a former custodian for North Georgia TechnicalSchool and worked for Ames Textile for 17 years. He was a member of MacedoniaUnited Methodist Church and in addition to his parents he was preceded in deathby his sister, Juanita Sue Welcome.
Survivors includehis wife, Dorothy Nelms, Cleveland; brother, Duel Nelms, Cleveland; brother andsister-in-law, Fred and Eunita Nelms, Cleveland; sister, Opal Chastain, Sautee.
Funeralservices are scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday, October 2, 2017 at Macedonia UnitedMethodist Church. The Rev. Garvis Kinsey and the Rev. Junior Robinson willofficiate. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
The familywill receive friends from 5-8 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
