(Cleveland)-Lots of folks will be watching the skies and checking the weather forecast as the White County School System prepares for another class graduation tonight.

It seems to always be a touch-and-go type situation each year for this event and it looks like today will be no exception.

White County School Superintendent Dr. Laurie Burkett said they will be working with Don Strength with White County Public Safety as they keep tabs on the weather. In the event rain interferes the event will be moved to 10 AM Saturday.

Mary Anne Collier White County High School Principal said tonight is a time to showcase the student’s accomplishments, “ we are very excited, we’re always excited to celebrate our students and a lot of hard work over many, many years.  We know it’s a very special time for them and their families to come out and to celebrate so we always want to do our best to show how proud of them we are,” commented Collier.

This year’s senior class is made up of just over 250 students and Collier noted that everyone has been working hard this week to prepare for tonight. “ we had a great graduation practice on Wednesday, had a great elementary and middle school grad walk and that was a lot of fun and if they do as good as they did at practice it will (laugh) go off without a hitch,” Collier said.

School officials report that the gates to the high school stadium will open at 5:30 PM with the graduation ceremony set at 8 PM.  Remember there is no general public parking at the high school you are asked to park at T-Gap Elementary or the White County soccer complex and ride the shuttle bus to and from the high school.
