White County School Logo(CLEVELAND)- Friday night football started off harmlessly; maybe even uneventful in the first quarter as White County Warriors took on the Gainesville Red Elephants at home in a pre-season scrimmage game .  By the end of first quarter there still wasn’t a score on either side, but by the half time Gainesville was up 14-0.

As the  third quarter was wrapping up and Maurice Sutton scored a 13 yard touchdown, every parent’s worse nightmare occurred, White County Warrior Sophomore Caleb Leverette was injured on the field. He was  sent to the hospital as a pre-caution with parents, as he left he field the entire stadium offered him a standing ovation.

Brent Maddox, form the  sideline said he was talking and moving as he was being transported, but no other details were offered.

The game  was just a scrimmage and scores wasn’t really kept  and will not impact this 2014-2015 season.
