(Cleveland) – Georgia Department of Transportation and the contractor were able to initiate a road intersection closure Monday morning for a section of Tesnatee Gap Valley Road at Highway 115 intersection.

Approximately 500 feet of Tesnatee Gap Valley Road closest to the intersection with SR 115 will be closed to traffic for the grade of Tesnatee Gap Valley Road to be raised about 8 feet. The maximum time for the closure is 15 days, the intersection should reopen by July 28.

The road closure means that motorist traveling in that area to use extra caution because of the change.

This work is part of the contract work to build Phase One of the Cleveland Bypass.
