(Cleveland)-  Qualifying is underway this week for a special election in November.   White County Election Superintendent Garrison Baker says, the special election will be non-partisan and will fill a vacancy on the White County Board of Education, created with the resignation of  Roger Fitzpatrick.  The winner will serve the remainder of the unexpired term that will end December 31st 2018.

Qualifying will run through  this Friday  at noon.  Qualifying will be held in the office of Probate Judge, located in the White County Courthouse. 

Persons wishing to qualify as a candidate must be a resident of  Board of Education District 2 and must have lived in the county for 12 months prior to the election.

The last day to register to vote in this special election will l be October 12th.
