Courtney Poole has been named the Peach Belt Conference AstroTurf Pitcher of the Week the league office announced Monday. It is the third time this season the University of North Georgia ace has earned the honor.
The Watkinsville native collected all four PBC wins last week for North Georgia, only allowing one earned run in 23.0 innings pitched for a 0.30 ERA. She struck out 23 batters last week while only allowing three walks and 13 hits, holding opponents to a .165 batting average.
Poole leads the conference in wins, earned run average and strikeouts. Her 25 victories lead the NCAA in all divisions.
North Georgia returns to action in their biggest test to date tomorrow, April 7, traveling to Milledgeville to take on No. 6 Georgia College.
