Georgia Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Chris Clark to speak at NGTC Luncheon

(Clarkesville)– The North Georgia Technical College (NGTC) Foundation Board of Trustees has announced they are hosting a free luncheon and community presentation, “The Future of Georgia’s Workforce,” from 12 to 1 p.m., Dec. 5, at the Clarkesville campus Industrial Technology Center.

Georgia Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Chris Clark will provide the keynote address focused on the new Georgia economy and the future of our workforce. Clark has served in his current role since joining the Georgia Chamber in 2010. Prior to this, he served as commissioner of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, executive director of the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority, and deputy commissioner for the Georgia Department of Economic Development among other positions. Clark is a graduate of Georgia Southern University and Georgia College and State University.

“This community presentation will focus on the latest workforce development statistics in Northeast Georgia and our outlook for future talent demands on various labor markets,” said NGTC Vice President of Institutional Advancement and Marketing Amy Hulsey. “Our board is encouraging personal invitations to companies and community partners that have an interest in assisting our future workforce development efforts. We are excited to present the latest information on the fastest growing and fastest declining job areas to our community so that we know how to best prepare for our community’s future needs.”
