Mrs. Consuelo Aguirre, age 77, of Dahlonega passed away Saturday, June 20, 2020.

Mrs. Aguirre was born in Mexico on November 5, 1942 to the late Consuelo Mandujano and Guadalupe Negrete. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son-in-law Edward Patton. Mrs. Aguirre was an honest and truthful lady. She was deeply loved and respected by her family. Mrs. Aguirre will always be remembered by her bravery. Her strong-willed heart was displayed during her courageous battle with cancer for many years. Mrs. Aguirre was a loving mother and grandmother and her grandchildren affectionately called her “Abuelita”.

Survivors include her children and spouses Dilubina and Carlos Patino, Buford, Enedino Aguirre Jr., Dahlonega, Aracel Patton, Dahlonega, Efrain Aguirre, Buford, Erendira and Armando Alcala, Flowery Branch, Eliud and Rubi Aguirre, Buford, Georgina Aguirre, Buford, Sergio Aguirre and Julia Cruz, Norcross, Korina Aguirre and Jose Rodriguez, Flowery Branch, and Fabiola and Robert Medrano, Winder; twenty-six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; siblings Maria Dolores Mandujano, Amelia Mandujano, Juana Mandujano, Candelaria Mandujano, and Uriel Mandujano, all of Mexico.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at St. Luke The Evangelist Catholic Church. Father Matthew Dalrymple will officiate. Interment will follow in Cavender Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
