DAHLONEGA – University of North Georgia baseball player Michael Gouge became the ninth All-American in program history as the senior was named to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) All-America team on Wednesday.

Harris was an honorable mention honoree as an outfielder.

Gouge was solid all season hitting .379 with 20 doubles, 10 home runs and 60 RBI while getting on base at a .527 lick, fifth best in Division II.

The All-American honor is added to his long list of honors this season including first team All-Region selections from both the American Baseball Coaches Association and the NCBWA as well as first team All-Conference honors from the Peach Belt Conference.

Founded in 1962, the NCBWA is dedicated to the advancement of college baseball. Membership is open to writers, broadcasters and publicists of the sport.
