(MARIETTA) – On Saturday, the Truett McConnell University men’s volleyball team traveled to face Appalachian Athletic Conference member Life University, where the Bears battled through three sets (16-25, 14-25, 17-25). TMU falls to a record of 0-15, 0-9 AAC, while the Eagles rise to 8-10, 3-7 AAC. 


PLAY-BY-PLAY 

The Eagles took a quick lead over the Bears, but a kill from Kyle Gregory put TMU on the board. A nine-point rally from the Eagles sent Life ahead until a six-point rally from TMU saw kills from Adam ShumanJackson Adams, and Alex Bosman cut the deficit, but a rally from the Eagles shut the Bears down (14-25). In set two, TMU was first on the board, but the Eagles quickly responded with a four-point rally of their own. Kills from Nathan Hill and Wensky Saintilmond brought the Bears within margin. Both teams were neck-and-neck until a late five-point rally from the Eagles left TMU to fall behind (14-25). In the final set, the Bears attacked quickly for an early lead, seeing a kill and service ace from Bosman. A four-point rally from the Eagles brought the score even, until kills from Gregory and Bosman propelled TMU forward. A late five-point rally from the Eagles, paired with another seven-point rally left TMU to fall, 17-25. 

LEADERS 
Gregory led the way with six kills, while Bosman recorded three kills, one service ace, and six digs. Hill was seen contributing two kills, one block, and four digs, while Adams tallied eight digs.

The Bears return to the Harris Athletic Complex on Wednesday, March 22 for an AAC showdown against Reinhardt University. Match time is set for 7:00 p.m.
