Mrs. Linda Ann Chamblee, age 70, of Dahlonega passed away Sunday, September 26, 2021.
Linda was a native and lifelong resident of Lumpkin County. She was born on August 19, 1951, to the late Newt and Mandy Thompson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters Evelyn Ethridge, Louise Davis, Joyce Bunker, and Edith Tolbert. Linda was a loving and caring person. She never met a stranger and her favorite way of telling her friends and family she loved them was making sure they were fed. Linda loved to shop and work in her flower garden. She was a member of Community Chapel Church.
Survivors include her beloved husband of almost 50 years, Clifton Chamblee; sons Jeffery Walker and Jason Chamblee; her grandchildren, who called her “Nana”, Daniel Walker and Tyler Chamblee; great-granddaughter Carmen Walker; brothers Stanley Murphy (Eather) and Leonard Thompson; and sisters Ida Christian Brown and Ellen Smallwood (Benny), all of Dahlonega.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Thursday, September 30, 2021, at the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home. The Rev. Marty Murphy will officiate. Interment will follow in Dahlonega Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
