Hank Lark, age 82, of Demorest, Georgia passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2017.
Mr. Lark was born on February 10, 1935 in Commerce, Georgia to the late Henry Earl Lark, Sr. and Eva Toney Lark. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Darryl Lark three brothers, and three sisters. Mr. Lark was a member of Alto C.H. Church. He was a United States Navy and Air Force Veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Lark was a retired employee with Ford Motor Company, having had 30 years of service. He was also a former member of the Habersham Wall of Honor for Veterans Committee.
Survivors include his loving wife of 23 years, Betty Cox Lark, of Demorest; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Jimmy Welborn, of Demorest; son, Dennis Lark, of Buffalo, NY; Dana Lark, of Virginia, brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Ila Lark, of Cumming; 11 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 11, 2017 at the Whitfield Funeral Home. North Chapel with Dr. Eric Spivey officiating. Interment will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by the Grant Reeve VFW 7720, American Legion Post #84, and Rabun County DAV #15.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, December 10, 2017 at the funeral home.
