(Cleveland)- The White County Board of Commissioners have announced that at their Monday, June 5th Work Session & Regular Meeting the commission board will be conducting a Public Hearing on revising two sections of the County Code.

The first is in Chapter 10 dealing with Animal Control which will update the code to reflect revisions in State law and to provide that Animal Control Officers have the discretion with repeat offenders of this code section.

The other hearing will deal with Chapter 14 – Buildings & Building Regulations Article 3 Construction Codes & Enforcement, Section. The revision will include minimum square footage for dwellings in the county. The change states every one – or two-family dwelling shall meet a minimum size requirement of 672 square feet of heated space.

The public hearing will begin at 4:00 p.m. in the board meeting room of the county administration building, 1235 Helen Highway, Cleveland.
