Mr. Herron was born on February 19, 1956 in Swayne County, North Carolina to the late Wilburn Odell Herron and Matilda Herron, of Demorest. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sue Chastain. Clayton was a loving husband, father, and “Papa”. He was so very loved by his family. Clayton was an avid gardener who loved raising chickens and beekeeping. He also enjoyed working on cars and engines. Clayton was always learning something new and sharing these hobbies with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his loving wife of 16 years, Elena Herron, of Demorest; sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph and Jody Herron, of Commerce; Vladimir and Anna Ivanov, of Russia; grandchildren, Leva, Tema, Jordon, Collin, Olivia, and Sadie; sisters, Mildred, Jean, Judy, Carolyn; and brother, Donald.
No Formal Services will be held.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Whitfield Funeral Homes & Crematory, North Chapel at 245 Central Avenue, Demorest, Georgia 30535.
