(Cleveland)- The City of Cleveland is issuing a Boil Water Notice Wednesday, due to a 6” water main break.

Andrea Smith, Water Distribution Operator for the City of Cleveland Public Works says this notice will affect the City of Cleveland water customers located at Green St., Cox Creek, Quillian St (at the intersection of Green St & Boulevard), Boulevard, Bob White Circle, Mountain Overlook, Townview, Pinecrest Circle, Pinecrest Lane, and Lunsford Lane area of the city’s water service area.

Residents/Businesses in these areas will notice a loss of water or water pressure while the line is being repaired.

This notice is required by EPD when water pressure drops below 20 PSI (pounds per square inch). The boiled water is for drinking purposes or you can use bottled water until bacteriological samples can be collected and tested. Water needs to be boiled until the City lifts the notice.

The City will notify the media as soon as test results are received.
