AUGUSTA, Ga. – University of North Georgia women’s tennis player Adrienne Bofinger was named to the Peach Belt’s Preseason All-Conference Team Monday as announced by the league office. The team was voted on by the league’s head coaches and represent four PBC teams.

A junior from Burghausen, Germany, Bofinger was a 2019 ITA All-American, a first-team All-Conference honoree in singles and doubles and the PBC Tournament Most Valuable Singles Player. She finished 2019 with a 22-3 overall record in singles with all but one of those played at No. 1 singles; her 21 wins at #1 singles was the most of any PBC player last season. In doubles Bofinger was 18-7 with 20 of those matches played at No. 2 doubles.

Bofinger was named to the PBC All-Academic Team and a PBC Presidential Honor Roll Silver Scholar last year as well. This is her first preseason honor after being named All-Conference each of her two previous years with a second team honor in her freshman campaign.

The Nighthawks, already 1-0 on the year and ranked No. 10 in the ITA rankings, will kick off the spring season on February 4 against Brenau at the UNG Tennis Complex at Yahoola Creek. First serve will take place at 2 p.m.
