(Undated)- The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences  Southeast Chapter has announced the 2016 High School Student Production Award winners and White County High was awarded thee video awards. 

Charles Dewalt, Executive Director of Warrior Broadcasting at the high school said WTVN Warrior  TV was awarded three Student Production Awards, Student Emmy’s ,  for three separate  works;  Lady Liberty a production by the students,  filmed when the students visited Nee York City.  A Georgia Dental Technician video, Filmed for Bill Thomas and the Georgia Dental Technicians. And,  A Drop Too Far – A film that students worked on in Atlanta.

In addition the Georgia Dental Association production was awarded the top Public Affairs/Community Service prize. 

White County Students were also recognized in two other areas;  Maddie Cope and Tyler Dorsey were awarded Director awards and Collin Cruikshank and Maddie Cope were received writer awards.   

 The annual competition encourages excellence in video production and focuses public attention on outstanding achievements in broadcast produced by high school students.  Twenty-four high schools from across Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Mississippi submitted entries as part of the 4th annual High School Production Award competition.
