Sports – The White County Warriors went up against North Hall Saturday in Non-Region High School Varsity Basketball.
The Lady Warriors were off to an early lead again in the first period scoring nine points in the first 60 seconds of the game. The Warriors were able to keep that lead throughout the entire game, ending with a final score of 73 to 60, White County.
The Boys game started out a little differently with the Trojans taking the first period barely ahead 14 to 11. The North Hall lead would be short-lived as the Warriors would pull into the lead and end the first half with White County having a ten-point lead 32 to 22. The Trojans would reduce the gap between the scores for the remainder of the game, ending the 3rd period with only a one-point deficit. However White County would maintain the lead ever-so-slightly, inching out a victory, 55 to 51, Warriors.
The White County Warriors will return to region play on Tuesday (01/07) going up against Flowery Branch. The pre-game show will start at 5:45 pm with tip-off for the girls at 6, then boys game will follow at 7:30 here on your home for the Warriors and the Bulldogs, WRWH 93.9fm.
