Mr. Walter Eugene Etris, age 84, of Cleveland, passed away Monday, April 26, 2021.
Mr. Etris was born in White County to the late Conard and Nora Helton Etris. In addition to parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Grady, Clyde, Ray, Vernell, Carlton, and Aldean. Mr. Etris was a Forklift Driver for Lucent Technologies and a member of the Christian Faith.
Survivors include wife, Doris Etris, Cleveland; daughters, Anita Garrison, Cleveland, and Marsha Bigos, Anderson, SC; sons, Randall Etris, Terry Strickland, and Daniel Strickland, all of Cleveland; five grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Louise Etris; and sister, Imogene Voyles.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 P.M. Thursday, April 29, 2021 from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Rev. Kenneth Taylor will officiate. Interment will follow in Town Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until the time of the funeral Thursday.
